Mind Your Mind Art Competition

Recently, we held an art competition with the theme “Mind Your Mind”. There were some fantastic entries, and it was wonderful to see children working together on posters too.

All posters were displayed at the Children and Youth Action Group’s Midterm break event “Young Minds” in the Complex Youth Theatre. At “Young Minds”, children explored the theme “Mind Your Mind” through dance, music, art and drama over two days.

Congratulations to everyone who took the time to create a poster, and a very special “WELL DONE” to our three winners.

Educational Workshops for Parents

A big thank you to all of the Junior and Senior Infant parents who attended Anna’s Jolly Phonics workshop on Tuesday. We hope this workshop will help you to help your child more at home with learning phonics.

We also recommend using the Jolly Phonics app at home. This can easily be downloaded on your smart phone or tablet.

Don’t forget the next workshop for parents is next Tuesday, 11th October at 9am.

This workshop will introduce parents to the Help My Kid Learn website, and some great activities you can use with your children both at home and out and about.
