The children from Mr.Gallagher’s class went on a trip to the National Museum of Ireland last Thursday. Here they learned about style and fashion dating back centuries. They took part in a detective style game answering questions relating to style and fashions from the past. The children really enjoyed their trip!
Congratulations to Catherine and Ethan, from St Gabriel’s NS who won the Art Competition as part of the One Book One Community project. The prize saw Catherine and Ethan take part in an art workshop in the ARK in Temple Bar with winners for all the other schools. The workshop saw the pupils create a massive piece of artwork on canvas. Check out the pictures from the day!
Congratulations to all the parents, who took part in classes and courses throughout the year. Classes included: Cookery for Fun, Internet Safety, English for Beginners and Operation Transformation.
Parents received their certificates at an awards ceremony in the Lighthouse Cinema in Smithfield.
Today the children and staff of St. Gabriel’s were very lucky that the theatre came to us in the school! The cast of M & M Productions put on a wonderful show and really brought Charles Dickens’ story ‘Oliver Twist’ to life.
All the children really enjoyed the show, especially when The Artful Dodger tried to pick one of the teachers pockets! Well done to two of our 3rd Class pupils who became pickpockets for the performance as well.
