So far the group has lost a whopping 4 stone 1 pound – but it’s not just about losing weight – it’s about having fun, getting to know other parents, being part of the community and making some time for yourself each day.

It’s not too late to join in!

Admission is free with doors opening from 10:30 am – 12:30pm and from 1:30pm – 3:00pm.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Law Society President visits St. Gabriel’s

Last Friday January 23rd saw some very welcome visitors come to our weekly Friday assembly.  With Senior Infants performing a wonderful song, we had a huge turnout of parents who came along to enjoy the beautiful singing.

The children also had a warm welcome for Kevin O’Higgins, President of the Law Society, who came to present a cheque for €1000 on behalf of the Law Society of Ireland.  This money was donated to the St. Gabriel’s N.S. Breakfast Club which runs daily and has become an integral part of the school day.  The cheque was presented to Sinead O’Keeffe and Angela Carey who run the Breakfast Club with enormous warmth and efficiency.  Orla Coyne and Donald O Meara of the school Board of Management and Shane McCarthy, Council of the Law Society of Ireland also attended for the presentation.
