The children from 5th and 6th class enjoyed an exciting day out at the Bridewell Garda station for their annual open day.
The boys and girls got to see historical squad cars and artefacts, explore vans, motorbikes and fire engines, see the Garda mounted unit on their horses and many more fun things besides.
Thanks to Community Garda Cian Lynch and Garda Shauna for helping to organise.
The boys and girls from 5th/6th class had a wonderful day out at the Blackhall Cup 2022 on the grounds of the Law Society in Blackhall place. They played their best football and had fun with teams from 5 other schools (Brunswick St. BNS, Stanhope St. GNS, D7 ETNS, St. Mary’s NS and North Dublin Muslim School).
St Gabriel’s girls won bronze and our boys team came 4th after an unlucky penalty shootout. Well done to all involved, and a big thanks to the Law Society for the use of the facilities and Harry McCue @ FAI for assisting on the day.

On Thursday 19th May, the children in Mr Smyth’s 3rd/4th Class took part in a Microscopy Science Workshop organised by Technological University Dublin (TUD), Grangegorman.
This workshop was designed to introduce students to the wonders of the microscopic word and the use of a microscope whilst at the same time harnessing their own curiosity and creativity to start thinking like a scientist. Many thanks to scientist Ana, a toxicologist and Ian from TUD, Grangegorman for an amazing morning!
Congratulations to girls from 2nd and 3rd class in St Gabriel’s who successfully completed 10 weeks of the wonderful Gaelic 4 Girls programme with St. Brendans GAA club in Grangegorman. They had a wonderful time playing games, learning new skills and having fun.
St. Brendans will also be running summer camps – details are below and children can be enrolled here.
