Senior Infants and 3rd/4th class went to Dublin zoo as a reward for their attendance.
Senior Infants had the best attendance in the school from September to December.
3rd/4th class had the best attendance in the school from January to Easter.
At the zoo we had a guide called Jim to show us some of the animals – penguins, elephants, giraffes, zebras, chimpanzees, tapirs, to name a few. He told us lots about them and answered our many questions.
We saw the baby rhino going for a little run with his mother and we saw the baby hippo and her mother having a swim in their pool.
The gorillas like to hide and play in long grass so it was a bit hard to see them.
The Siberian tigers lie under trees in the shade because they don’t like warm weather.
Here are some photos from our fantastic day!
