Who said Summer Trips were just for the children?!
The final parents’ trip of the school year took place on Tuesday 16th June.
A group of parents was guided around Cruagh Woods, just past Rathfarnham, with a very kind volunteer ranger – Tom, from the Dublin Mountains Partnership.
The parents got to see a view of Dublin many had never seen before, and enjoyed a delicious and well-prepared picnic looking out over Dublin city, picking out familiar landmarks such as the Phoenix Park, the Pope’s Cross, Howth, Bull Island and the Poolbeg Towers.
The Dublin Mountains Partnership has a very good website with lots of information about the Dublin Mountains and activities you can do there.
They also run free walks a few weekends each month. Check them out at www.dmp.ie
