Huge thanks to all the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, friends and neighbours who came to support the children in the Christmas Concert this week.
The children and their teachers had been working hard for many weeks to present you with our best Christmas Concert yet. We dedicated the concert this year to our SNA, Debbie, who really loved Christmas and always brought great fun to the school not just at Christmas, but at all times.
The children performed a great variety of festive songs and poems, in both English and Irish, with mime, drama, costume, live music and of course our Junior Infants did a wonderful job presenting the Nativity Story.
The funds raised from the Christmas Hamper raffle will start off our collection for a new floor for our PE Hall, so thanks to everyone who bought tickets for this. The hamper was won by Joe, “The Sweetman” Seamus Stone’s nephew. Joe has been just as generous to the school as Séamus was and we are delighted that the lovely hamper is going to such a kind person.
May we take the opportunity to thanks you for your ongoing support and to wish all of you a peaceful, restful and fun Christmas, and very best wishes for the year ahead, from all the staff here in St. Gabriel’s.
