Some of our pupils were recently honoured by being invited to give a presentation in Dublin City Council’s Wood Quay Auditorium.<\/p>\n
In November, the children of 5th<\/sup> and 6th<\/sup> Class took part in a Power of Design <\/strong><\/em>workshop. \u00a0Having made such a positive impression with their enthusiasm and creativity during the workshop, the pupils were invited in 2017 to give a presentation at a reception to celebrate and promote the\u00a0<\/span>Power of Design.<\/em><\/p>\n The Power of Design<\/em> schools programme, working with Junior Achievement Ireland and Dublin City Council, aims to demonstrate the positive impact of design on social, cultural and economic life. \u00a0The workshops are delivered by volunteers from the working world of design with relevant experience such as architects, engineers, web designers, town planners etc. \u00a0This year over 50 schools and more than 1,000 pupils in Ireland took part.<\/p>\n Asha, David, Daniel, David and Rebecca confidently presented their own design and vision for Dublin to an audience including Mary Mitchell O’Connor – Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Chief Executive of Dublin City Council Owen Keegan, Dublin City Architect Ali Grehan, Junior Achievement Ireland CEO Helen Raftery and leaders in the design industry in Ireland.<\/p>\n All pupils present were wonderful representatives of St. Gabriel’s on this day and great ambassadors for our school.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Some of our pupils were recently honoured by being invited to give a presentation in Dublin City Council’s Wood Quay Auditorium.
