The pupils from Ms. Fahey’s class were lucky enough to be invited to Phibsboro Library last week to meet with well known children’s author Alan Early.\u00a0 The author started with a Who Wants to Be a Viking God\u00a0<\/em>quiz and followed this by sharing some of the ideas and planning that went into writing his ‘Father of Lies’\u00a0<\/em>trilogy.\u00a0 These books were inspired by Viking lore and Alan worked with the children to create a character that could fit into one of his books – an 8 metre tall cave dwelling Viking goddess with long hair and a mohawk who hates chidren and men, has laser eyes and farts that can propel her into the air, and who fears tickles and sunlight!\u00a0 He then read to us from the first book in the series\u00a0‘Arthur Quinn and the World Serpent’<\/em>\u00a0 and answered any questions the pupils had about how they can improve their own writing.
