History comes alive for pupils at 14, Henrietta Street

The children in Mr Smyth’s 4th Class had a wonderful visit to 14, Henrietta Street, as part of their History lessons about homes in the past and about life in the past in tenement Dublin.

During the visit the children took a trip through time from the 1700’s as a home for some Dublin’s wealthiest families, in this case Lord Viscount Molesworth and his wife through to the 1900s when over 100 people lived in camped tenement conditions there.
