Friday June 10th saw another year of our annual Poetry Reading in St. Gabriel’s. The children from 1st to 6th Class came together to share some poetry that they had written themselves and to read aloud some poems by famous poets that they have enjoyed themselves. We heard some limericks, acrostic poems, group poems and some really moving pieces in particular from the pupils of 6th Class who had attended a writing workshop with Dermot  Bolger, Irish novelist, playwright and poet. A really enjoyable morning was had by everyone present.  Watch out for some of these poets in the future!
