Dear Parents/Guardians,

Over the last year and a half, we have had to make a number of changes in St. Gabriel’s NS to deal with the challenging times.  One part of these changes that the children and staff have really enjoyed has been the chance to celebrate each child’s birthday in school, as birthday parties have been unable to take place as normal.  This year we have some new plans for how these school celebrations will work!

*       Instead of having a small celebration, each class will have a big party once a month to celebrate every child in that room whose birthday has fallen in that month

*       Your child’s class teacher will provide all the party food, treats, sweets etc.  Parents are asked not to send in party food in order to make it fair for all children

*       For children whose birthdays fall in July and August, they can choose to have their ‘school party’ in either September or June

*       Gentle Reminder: for any celebrations that are taking place outside school, please remember not to give out invitations in the classroom as this can cause upset for some children
