Recently the children from Ms. Hanlon’s 1st Class went on a Senses Walk around the area. “What exactly is a Senses Walk?” you might find yourself asking! The children had been learning all about the 5 senses of Sight, Touch, Hearing, Taste and Smell in class and decided to explore them even more in the area around our school.
Walking around the local community 1st Class took their time to see, hear, smell and touch lots of interesting things. They used their clipboards, paper and pencils to record some of these things. Back in the school garden, they got to pick some tomatoes, rosemary and chives for tasting. 1st Class would definitely recommend you try your own Senses Walk!
