Hello everyone,
What a fantastic Art Week we’ve just had! We learned how to draw a toucan, a volcano, a panda, a Dachshund dog and a puffin. We drew self-portraits. Can you recognise your friends and classmates? We sketched what we saw from our windows and designed Viking shields. We revised warm and cool colours and studied the work of Andy Goldsworthy. Some students got inspired by their readers and constructed houses. For the art competition, we asked you to recreate some famous artwork. The winning entry is displayed at the end!
Below is a collection of the amazing work you uploaded! It was a pleasure looking at and compiling all your beautiful art work. Every student has a unique artistic style!
Here is our winner of the art competition! What a stunning recreation of ‘The Old Guitarist’ by Pablo Picasso. Well done to you!
Poetry Week begins today! We adore poetry in 3rd and 4th class. Ms O’Loughlin and Ms O’Leary have organised some wonderful resources which will be uploaded onto Seesaw. Have fun everybody!
Slán,
Ms O’Dowd
