Hello Boys and girls in Junior Infants,
You have all been working so hard since our school closed its doors so I want you to take the time over the next week or so to do some of your favourite activities. Think about all the activities that I have suggested over the last few weeks. Which activities did you enjoy doing the most – phonics, maths, art, writing, story online, reading? I loved seeing so many of you take part in Flower Power Week! Perhaps you and your family came up with other exciting and fun things to do. Below you’ll find a few reminders of some activities we’ve done along with some links to click on to practise what you’ve learned so far. There are exciting things in store over the next few weeks so keep checking on the website and on Seesaw to hear more.
You all should have received an e-mail early last week with a link to take part in a survey about the children’s attitudes and opinions about writing and handwriting. The results will inform our school’s future planning in the area.Thank you to those who have already completed the survey. If you haven’t already done so please do so this week. It only takes 2-3 minutes to complete.
Enjoy doing some of your favourite activities and keep the wonderful Flower Power Week photos coming to Seesaw!

Online Story Suggestions
Have a look at some of the choices I have given you so far for reading here. Choose a few of your favourite to do some reading over the next few weeks.
Maths Choice
Have a look at some of the choices I have given you so far for Maths activities here. Choose a few of your favourite to try again over the next while. Also you may play some of the maths games that I suggested before the bank holiday weekend.
Nursery Rhyme Practise
Since the school closed you have practised lots of rhymes. Test yourself to see how many rhymes you know all the words to. I realised that I suggested one of the rhymes twice, so here’s an extra one to make up for that! Oops! Continue to share a video or a voice recording of you reciting some of your rhymes on Seesaw.
Music
Here are the words of a song that I learned when I was a little girl. I think you might like it too. The song is called ‘Chick Chick Chick Chick Chicken (Lay a little egg for me)’. You’ll find a video of the song by clicking the picture of the chickens.
Don’t forget –
