We rock!
5th class undertook a rockin’ study this week – not rock’n’roll, nor Rockin’ around the Christmas tree, not Chris Rock or The Rock.
We collected and examined different rocks and did some research to find out what types of rocks the were.
We learned that there are 3 main different types of rocks – igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. We learned how each is formed and we found out which of our rocks belonged to which group. It was a very interesting project and we really enjoyed using the encyclopedia to figure it all out.
