2nd class Puppet Theatres!

A few weeks ago we made our own sock puppets in 2nd class. This week we had a lot of fun (and made a bit of mess :0 ) making theatres for our sock puppets in 2nd class. We used MS Paint to design some backgrounds on the laptops, and then added paper, glue, paint and other decoration to create our own special stages! Afterwards we had a lot of fun making up little shows with our puppets.

📚 Lámh Sign of the Week: School

We’re excited to share this week’s Lámh Sign – it’s a word we use every day… School!

Learning how to sign “School” is a great way to support communication and inclusion in classrooms, at home, and in the community. Let’s get signing!

👉 How to sign School:

Left Hand (L.H.): Use an ‘l’ handshape, palm facing upwards and diagonally forward in front of your chest.

Right Hand (R.H.): Use an ‘s’ handshape, palm facing sideways.

Movement: Bring your R.H. up to your forehead.

That’s it – you’ve just signed “School”! 👏

💡Tip: Practice the sign a few times slowly, then try it in a sentence like “Going to school” or “I like school”.

Keep an eye out for our next Lámh Sign of the Week – and happy signing! ✋😊

2nd Class Sock Puppets!

2nd Class have been busy studying fabric and fibre and have designed some fabulous sock puppets! We used socks, felt, buttons, needles and thread and glue. Sewing is hard work but most of us managed to sew on a piece of fabric or a button. Now we have these cool fabric friends to play with!
