Junior Achievement 3rd & 4th class

The children in 3rd and 4th class particpated in a Junioir Achievement programme over the past 4 weeks under the guidance of Cian McMahon. The topic of discussion was about how our city considers economic development, local businesses, and career opportunities. The children discovered that,  A city is a place where a lot of people live, work, play, and go to school. Cian helped the students build a city! They constructed paper buildings, and mapped out a city. They wrote a newspaper article and planned their own restaurants They also examined why banks are important. Well done 3rd and 4th class.

Sand Painting

In the Sunshine Class we painted with a mixture of sand and paint. Together they made a rough texture on the paper when the paintings dried.

Mr Smyth’s Class question News2Day presenters

This week on RTE’s News2Day children were asked to submit questions to the presenters rather than answer a question.

After some discussion in class, the children in Mr Smyth’s Class asked: “How many people work on making a News2Day episode?”
