As part of our learning about Chinese New Year – the Year of the Tiger – the children in 3rd and 4th class made Chinese Lanterns and have them hanging in the classroom.
Children in 3rd and 4th have been taking part in Boxing in the Community initiative every Friday with Paul from Boxing Ireland.

Pupils from all classes at St Gabriel’s NS were busy before Christmas making personalised cards to some of the older people in our local nursing homes. We made and gave out over 100 cards to residents at Curam Care Navan rd., Nephin Nursing Home, and Santa Sabina House. Thanks very much to all staff who helped the children. As you can see above, the residents really loved them!
