Operation Transformation DIT 3km Fun Run

Operation Transformation came to a wonderful ending last Friday with a 3km Fun Run around the college grounds of the new DIT, Grangegorman.

Children from Mr. Smyth’s and Ms. Turley’s classes joined children from other local schools, lots of parents and other adults from the community to take part in this fun event.

Set your next goal now.

The women’s Mini Marathon is only 90 days away! Meet in Anna’s room on Tuesday 3rd March at 1pm for information on how to register and to get your training plan.

Operation Transformation in full flight

We’re into Week Three of Operation Transformation in Dublin 7. We have a good, strong, committed and fun group going with four mornings of activity – the gym, football, aerobics and walking/jogging.

Check out this video of some highlights so far, and watch out for it on the RTE show in the coming weeks.

So far the group has lost a whopping 4 stone 1 pound – but it’s not just about losing weight – it’s about having fun, getting to know other parents, being part of the community and making some time for yourself each day.

It’s not too late to join in!

Parent’s on Tour

This morning, a group of 11 parents visited Collins Barracks. They were given a tour of some exhibitions by Helen and Edith there. They got lots of ideas for free, fun and interesting family activities to do at Christmas, weekends, or just a rainy afternoon.

Thanks to everyone who came. It was such a great success that we will plan more parent trips after Christmas…watch this space!
