This year due to Covid classes will not be able to go on any school tours which involve travelling on a bus or indoor activities.
However, St. Gabriel’s N.S. is so lucky to be located within walking distance of Dublin Zoo! All classes will be visiting the zoo this year for their school tours.
Junior and Senior Infants – Thursday June 10th
1st class and 2nd class – Friday June 11th
3rd & 4th class – Tuesday June 15th
5th & 6th class – Wednesday June 16th
The Sunshine class are going this Wednesday May 19th. We hope they have a fantastic time!
We will be sending out a letter to all other families this week with more information and permission slips.
School closes Friday March 26th – half day.

This year in St. Gabriel’s NS we chose the day before St. Patrick’s Day to hold our Lá Glás (Green Day). In the morning we certainly got a lot of exercise when we had our Céilí Mór outside in the playground. Some amazing dance moves were on display, especially from Second Class! Everyone has been making an extra special effort to speak cúpla focail as Gaeilge (a few words in Irish) for Seachtain na Gaeilge and each class enjoyed an Irish movie and popcorn to wind down after the all the excitement.
2nd class have been busy every Wednesday after school for the last couple of weeks, having fun in Ms O’Dowd’s variety after school club.
They have enjoyed doing a range of fun activities. This week they were exploring colour with paint in art.
Thanks to Ms O’Dowd and Pauline for giving their time to this free after school club.
