2nd Class Puppet Theatres!

A few weeks ago we made sock puppets in 2nd Class. This week we had a lot of fun (and made a bit of mess!) making theatres for our sock puppets. We used MS Paint to design some backgrounds on the laptops, and then added paper, glue, paint and other decoration to create our own special stages! Afterwards we had a lot of fun making up little shows with our puppets.

2nd Class Sock Puppets!

2nd Class have been busy studying fabric and fibre and have designed some fabulous sock puppets! We used socks, felt, buttons, needles and thread and glue. Sewing is hard work but most of us managed to sew on a piece of fabric or a button. Now we have these cool fabric friends to play with!

Cute Visitor in 2nd Class!

This week we had some special visitors in 2nd Class! Mother Heather and Baby Lucy visited us because we are learning about how to care for babies. We had such a nice time asking lots of questions and remembering stories of when we were babies! Thank you Lucy and Heather 🙂

A Busy Week in 2nd Class!

Wow, what a busy week we’ve just had!

A special thank you to Ms Leonard and Mrs Condron for all the activities they organised during World Book Week!

Thank you also to Ms O Dowd, Ms Fitzpatrick, Aoife, Vicky, Sharon and Emma and all the children for welcoming us into their classrooms for a visit. We really enjoyed it and learned lots!

2nd Class Painting

2nd Class had lots of fun exploring a range of brushes and painting materials. We examined naturally occurring patterns and textures and tried to recreate these in our own way on large sheets. We hope you enjoy!

2nd Class trip to 14 Henrietta Street

2nd Class had an amazing time learning all about the historical building at 14 Henrietta Street. This is a fantastic museum showing the lives of the many different people that lived there in the past. Special thanks to our wonderful guide Gillian and all the staff at the Museum.
