Pupils from St Gabriel’s NS feature in exciting National Museum project “Little Houses”

We are very excited and proud of our current and past pupils who took part in the “Little Houses” project in the National Museum of Ireland.

‘Little Houses’ is an exhibition of artworks created during the Covid 19 pandemic, in a collaborative partnership between the Stoneybatter Youth Service and the National Museum of Ireland.

Check out the project’s website, where you can explore the houses and watch a video interviewing some of the participants. The exhibition is now open in the National Museum in Collins Barracks. It’s well worth a visit!

Celebrating Maths with a Maths Carnival!

Some of the games included adding and duck catching at Quack and Count, shapes and spatial awareness at Shape Race, number work in Higher or Lower, finding
numbers in the ball pit in Find the Ball and more.

Maths Week Competition!

One part of our Maths Week activities that is always popular is our Tables Championship.  The children from 1st Class to 6th Class take part in the competition over a few days, which ends in what is usually a tense and nerve-racking final (and that’s just how the teachers feel about it!) Well done to all the children who took part this year with such enthusiasm and and congratulations to all the winners.

Hallowe’en Fun in St. Gabriel’s NS

Everyone had a great time at our Hallowe’en Parade in the playground this year.  There were ghosts, werewolves, vampires, soldiers and even a rollercoaster!

We are also working on our Maths Art Competition entries. Today we made 3D shapes using matchsticks and plasticine. Check out our creative work!
