New Junior Infants 2021!

Dear Junior Infants 2021,

We are really looking forward to welcoming you to St Gabriel’s N.S.

Here is a short welcome video to show you your new classroom and all of our exciting toys and activities.

Junior Infants will attend on a reduced timetable for their first week at school. They will start at 10am on September 1st. On that day parents will be able to accompany their child into their classroom and meet their teacher.

The schedule for Week 1 will be as follows:

  • Wednesday September 1st – 10am to 12pm
  • Thursday September 2nd – 8:50am to 12pm
  • Friday September 3rd – 8:50am to 12pm

From Monday September 6th onwards children will attend for a normal school day – 8.50am to 1:30pm.

Button Art in 3rd and 4th class

3rd and 4th class worked very hard recently learning the important life skill of sewing buttons. They put their new skills to artistic use and created these stunning compositions with buttons.

3rd and 4th class get creative with Imagination Playground

3rd and 4th class had a lot of fun today and showed wonderful creative thinking and teamwork, playing with the incredible Imagination Playground building materials. They made ball runs, playgrounds, animals, caves, bridges, podiums and played ball games with them.

 

St. Gabriel’s FUN-draising Day!

We had an amazing Fun Day in St. Gabriel’s NS this year as part of our fundraising initiatives.  All the children could wear their own clothes for the No Uniform Day and this started off the party atmosphere!  Throughout the day everyone got to take part in Party Games, Playground Games and an Outdoor Disco where DJ (Mr) Donnelly had the whole school up and dancing.  All of these activities were topped off with a visit from the Ice-Cream Van.  What a fantastic day we all had!

Thank you to everyone who has returned their donation envelopes already and there is still time to send it back for anyone who has not had the chance yet.
