There are two weeks of Maths Games left for these classes before the Easter break. We hope to see more parents in over the next few weeks.
Workshop in Phibsborough Library with author Patricia Forde

On Tuesday, 2nd/3rd class took part in a workshop in Phibsborough library with the fantastic author Patricia Forde. We had lots of fun reading her book ‘Bumpfizzle the Best on Planet Earth’. She entertained us no end with her funny tales about growing up in Galway. She read extracts from the book and she was blown away by all the fantastic questions the boys and girls had for her. We gave this book a resounding thumbs up!
Ms Walsh’s class made St Brigid’s Crosses

Ms Walsh’s class have been busy finding out about a patron saint of Ireland, St Brigid, whose feast day is the 1st of February.
They also crafted these wonderful St Brigid’s crosses in art, and gave them as presents (along with lovely cards) to each class. How kind!

Junior Achievement 3rd & 4th class
The children in 3rd and 4th class particpated in a Junioir Achievement programme over the past 4 weeks under the guidance of Cian McMahon. The topic of discussion was about how our city considers economic development, local businesses, and career opportunities. The children discovered that, A city is a place where a lot of people live, work, play, and go to school. Cian helped the students build a city! They constructed paper buildings, and mapped out a city. They wrote a newspaper article and planned their own restaurants They also examined why banks are important. Well done 3rd and 4th class.
