Our P.E Lesson

By Lavinia

Today at school we did a trail. In my group were Calvin, Ajay and I. We were called the “Funky Monkeys”.

We first started at the porch. Me,Ajay and Calvin took turns writing. We had to find Panda’s phone number and what colour was on Pinocchio’s bow and other stuff.

After we went into the yard we had to draw some stuff like benches, flower, lines and a metal bin. We also had to count the benches.

Finally we went to the P.E hall. We had to count the radiators and benches then add them together. We also had to count the electrical sockets and the blue notice boards.

Last we went back to the class and corrected them. I had a really great time.

Parent/Teacher Class Meetings

Our annual parent/guardian-teacher class meetings will take place over the next two weeks. These meetings give you the opportunity to meet your child’s teacher at the beginning of the year and to hear what the rules, routines and structures in your child’s class will be for the coming year. Each teacher will explain what type of homework you can expect your child to have and how long it should take them.
You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have.
The meetings will take place in the parent’s room on the following days.
We look forward to seeing you at them.

Great turnout for Parent’s Coffee Morning

There was a fantastic turnout for our first parent’s coffee morning in Anna’s room.

It was lovely to meet and chat to so many of you.

There was lots of valuable information shared and everyone is looking forward to getting started on different parent’s classes, especially the exercise classes, which will start next Wednesday at 9:20 in the hall with Angelica. We’ll also get out for morning walks again in the coming weeks – demand is high!

David also kindly shared information about the Men’s Group over at Aosóg – sounds like great fun. That’s on every Thursday morning from 10:00 – 12:00. The women’s group starts today, doing Stained Glass crafts for a few weeks.

There will also be English classes starting soon, so watch this space.

Thanks to all who made it in.

This week in Mr Smyth’s class

This week we looked back at the rules for capital letters. We also looked at other rules- our classroom charter. In P.E we did an obstacle course. In drama we performed the Tricky Most Show.

Today we started our viking project. We are very excited about the project.

Check back next week to find out more!
