4th & 5th Class’s Acrostic Poems about Autumn

An acrostic poem is a poem written 0using the first letters of the topic you are writing about. We have been studying poetry written about the season of Autumn. We have tried to write our own Autumn acrostic poems.  Check out some of the poems the children wrote this week in Mr Smyth’s class.

Autumn by Leon

Autumn is great,

Until the dark comes,

The birds be flying away,

Until the light comes the dark will fade away,

Me and you we go out and play,

Now we come in until the next day.

Autumn by Scott

Animals going asleep,

Under scattered leaves,

Thrown from the trees,

Until Spring comes around,

Month by month we wait,

Never ending weather.

Autumn by Destiny

All the leaves are falling,

Up high from the tress,

They are also dying which is very sad,

Up high where they are dying like a,

Mad contagious flu,

Next they will come back looking new!
