Maths Week Ireland took place in October of this year all around the country and as usual the children in St. Gabriel’s took part in many different activities, from Maths trails and Maths games to our first ever Maths Week Table Quiz. Thank you to all the parents who came along to take part in the events. The most important goal of Maths Week is that the children have fun while learning and we all agreed that this was definitely true!

What’s your favourite?
This month in Maths, Mr Smyth’s Class are focussing on Data. We have been doing surveys about people’s favourite colours and putting them into pictograms. Check out the survey we carried out with Junior Infants. Which colour is the most popular?
The Rainbow Fish
In the Sunshine room we read the story The Rainbow Fish.
In art we made the Rainbow Fish by printing the scales of the fish using celery dipped in paint.
We Remember
The children in Ms. Sweetman’s class made a beautiful Garden of Remembrance for our Sacred Space board this month.
