Space Week: Pupils to speak to astronaut aboard the International Space Station

Space Week, which runs for the week beginning the 2nd October, will see pupils across the school take place in STEM workshops, art competitions, poetry competitions and much more. It will culminate in an historic event on Friday, when two pupils from St Gabriel’s NS, alongside pupils from across Dublin, will pose questions to astronaut Jasmin Moghbeli aboard the International Space Station.

We are extremely proud of both Taha and Fatma and wish them all the very best this Friday. The event will be live streamed for all to watch along.

5th/6th visit to Cabra CC open day

Our pupils in 5th and 6th class had the wonderful opportunity of visiting Cabra Community College last Friday. We were warmly welcomed at the school and both classes were given a tour of the facilities and subjects on offer. They got to enjoy PE, Science, Music, Art, Home Economics, SESE, French, Technology and other subjects besides. It was also a great insight into the secondary school environment and the change in pace this brings. Most importantly, we all had great fun! Thanks to principal Neil Flaherty, HSCL Denise Yeates and all who helped organise a great day out.
