4th Class working to promote care for our environment

4th Class have been learning about looking after our environment in Geography. The children created some lovely promotional posters to promote their ideas around being more environmentally friendly around our school. Check out their posters below. These have been displayed on their corridor to bring the message to other classes.

4th Class take part in Nature Workshop with ARK artist in Cabra Libary

The children in 4th Class joined environmental artist Luke Casserly in Cabra Library for a workshop designed to give a voice to our natural environment through creative writing and storytelling.

The children worked in groups to create a news bulletin about a species that interests them, before becoming news anchors for their very own TV station set 100 years in the future. This thought-provoking workshop offered the children an invitation to tune in to nature, and explore what the future has in store for our natural world. St Gabriel’s Radio!

6th class have been working hard with Mr Flanagan in recent weeks to produce and broadcast a weekly radio show in school. There are songs, jokes, fun facts, competitions and much more. The shows also feature participation from children across the whole school. Here are the first two episodes for you to listen to. We hope you enjoy!
