6th Class were getting to grips with our new laptops today. They were using them to play interactive maths games in the areas of time and multiplication.

Today, 4th Class had the opportunity to try out our new school student devices and practise their work on time in maths with an online “Tell the Time” game. They had so much fun!

It was a busy day in 4th Class today. This morning in Irish we recorded a number of pupils practising their Irish conversation or comhrá between “Mamaí agus Oisín”.

Later on the children had their first GAA lesson with Brian from St Brendan’s GAA Club. For anyone interested in joining the club, let your child’s teacher know and they can point you in the right direction.

Finally in the afternoon, the children used the maple leaf stencils they had cut out to creating some beautiful and colourful prints.

Congratulations to boys and girls from 5th Class and 6th Class who competed with seven other schools in the Blackhall Cup soccer tournament in Blackhall Place yesterday. The girls won bronze medals and the boys won silver medals. Most importantly, everyone had a really fun day out! Thank you to all at the Law Society for the facilities and the FAI player development course in Cabra for officiating.

Today, 4th Class visited our new Senior Library with its lovely new shelving.

They’ve chosen novels to read this week and will be doing chapter summaries, character profiles and reviews of their chosen novels.
