Drawing inspired by poetry in 3rd Class

Using the poem “Accidentially” by Maxine Kumin, the children in 3rd class, with the help of a mirror, made pencil and colouring pencil drawings of themselves yawning. They paid particular attention to the shape of their mouths, eyes, eyebrows and tongue. Check out their work below!

2nd Class Abstract Art personality portraits

We’ve been studying line and drawing in abstract art.

We learned that many modern artists made new rules in art. Their drawings and paintings can mean many different things or even nothing at all!

We added some of our own personalities to our art. We hope you like it! 😊
