Painting with marbles
In the Sunshine class we used marbles and paint in two ways to create these colourful paintings!
For the first painting we put paper on a tray and put blobs of paint on it. We then rolled some marbles around in the paint.
For the second painting we put paint, paper and marbles in a plastic jar. We put on the lid and shook it around.
Sand Painting
In the Sunshine Class we painted with a mixture of sand and paint. Together they made a rough texture on the paper when the paintings dried.
Painting with string
Today in the Sunshine room we dipped pieces of string into paint. We then placed the string onto paper and when we lifted it there were lovely designs left.
Swipe Art
In the Sunshine room we put blobs of paint on paper and then swiped it around with cardboard to create some “swipe” paintings.
Paint and Colour in Senior Infants
In Senior Infants we looked at the paintings ‘Field of Poppies’ and ‘San Giorgio Maggiore at Dusk’ by Claude Monet and ‘Starry Night over the Rhone’ by Vincent Van Gogh.
We discussed the colours used and the objects we could see.
We then painted our own versions of these paintings.
