Well done to the pupils from the Sunshine Class who were all very active last week during Sports Week! As you can see from the photos the children were busy swimming, walking, cycling, jumping on a trampoline, riding on a flicker and even riding on a pony! They enjoyed delicious picnics after their activities! I’m very proud of you all!!

Senior Infants – Sports Week 2020
Massive congratulations to all the boys and girls in Senior Infants for taking part in St Gabriel’s Sports Week 2020!
Sports Week is always my favourite time of the year! Although, it was different this year, the fun, participation, and determination by everyone was amazing. Along with Ms Whyte, Ms Fahey, Mrs Condron and Ms Hanlon, I have truly enjoyed looking at the photos, videos and listening to voice-messages of all the activities you have been participating in. It was great to see children playing basketball, running, balancing, playing with hula hoops, dancing, playing hurling, jumping, playing on trampolines, doing the wheelbarrow, skipping, roller-blading, the list goes on!
Along with this, I have been really impressed with all your creativity and using your imaginations to create your own St. Gabriel’s sports jersey. The school mascots are amazing with lots of detail and colours. I like the names you have given to your mascots! The talent in Senior Infants is amazing and I knew your designs and mascots would be fantastic. Well done!!
Lastly, a big thank you to Ms. Hyland and Ms Fahey for all the work they have done for our successful Sports Week 2020.
Here are some pictures from our Sports Week!
This week is Art Week! Ms. Fitzpatrick, Mrs. Condron and Ms. Hanlon have planned wonderful activities for our Art Week. Continue to take photos/videos of your work or any activities you are doing at home and upload it onto Seesaw to show me. If you choose not to upload your work, keep all your wonderful work together so you can show it to me when we return to school.
Have a lovely week,
Miss Reynolds.

Outstanding 5th and 6th class!
Congratulations to all the boys and girls in 5th and 6th class for participating in Sports Week 2020. Everyone made an outstanding effort. We had bike rides, swimming, karate, obstacle courses, dancing, yoga, stretching, sack races and egg and spoon races. Everyone was on the go all week!
When we were not doing sport we were drawing different sporting activities, exploring the heart and how it works, how to take our pulse, hand signals for riding our bikes safely on the road and a very challenging escape room! Congratulations to this weeks Quiz Winner Michael Angelo!
I have attached some of the fabulous pictures you sent in below.
