Happy Friday

Hello Senior Infants,

I hope you all have a wonderful week, and are continuing to enjoy the magnificent weather we are having. Are you enjoying the beautiful weather? I hope you are all getting outside to play and enjoy the sunshine.

This week has been a busy week for Miss Reynolds. I have been in my vegetable garden most days, checking on my onions and potatoes. Here are some photos of how well my vegetables are growing.

Do you know what vegetables need to grow? Vegetables have the same basic needs as we do; light, food, water and warmth. It is important that these basic needs are met so vegetables grow. I know some boys and girls in Senior Infants are busy looking after their vegetables!

Here is a link to the Food Dubes website. They have activities you can download to help you learn about eating lots of fruit and vegetables.

Senior Infants

Hello Senior Infants,

I hope you all had a wonderful week. I hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather and got a chance to go out and get some fresh air and enjoy the sunshine!

This week, on the farm, we had a visit from the vet. The vet wanted to see how all our animals are doing and he was very happy with them.

Here are some pictures of our happy and healthy animals.

Have you ever visited the vet with your pet? Maybe you could play vets at home and take some photos/videos/voice recordings and upload them to Seesaw.

I am enjoying seeing all the lovely work you are doing on Seesaw. Continue to take photos/videos of your work or any activities you are doing at home and upload it onto Seesaw to show me. If you choose not to upload your work, please tell our HSCL teacher Mr. Donnelly and keep all your wonderful work together so you can show it to me when we return to school.

Happy May Day Senior Infants

Hello Senior Infants,

Happy May Day – Lá Bealtaine to you and your families. Today is the first day of summer for us and what great weather we are having so far! May Day is celebrated in lots of ways around the world. Maybe your parents might remember some of these traditions!

Remember, I told you about our new calf that was born on 10th April. My father and I loved hearing all the names that Senior Infants suggested for our calf. My father liked the name Ted. I have included a picture of Ted when he was a few days old. I will take more pictures of him as he is growing every day.

This week, I have been putting together a variety of activities that your child may have-a-go at if it suits. Here is a link to Suggestions for Senior Infants.

Senior Infants

Hello Senior Infants,

I hope you are all keeping very well. I hope you all had a lovely Easter with your family and had some nice Easter treats.

I have been very busy over Easter. On the farm, we had another two new baby boy calves. They are in the field, running around and having lots of fun. Also, I have been getting our vegetable garden ready, picking out the weeds and stones. So far, I have planted onions and potatoes.

This week, I would like you to have a go at ‘My Easter Holiday Snapshot’, drawing a picture and writing a sentence in each box. Here is a link to My Easter Holiday Snapshots.

I want you to continue to play and have lots of fun with everyone in your family. I am looking forward to checking in with you individually and hearing all about what you are getting up to. Stay safe.

Miss Reynolds.

Easter Activities

Hello Senior Infants,

I hope you are all keeping very well. I hope you enjoyed and had lots of fun trying out some of the activities from last week!

Just to fill you all in, I have been very busy helping my father on our farm. On Sunday, we got great news….a new baby calf was born. However, we need your help Senior Infants, in helping us to name him. Can you think of a name for our calf?

My father and I are looking forward to hearing your name suggestions.

This week, I have been putting together a variety of activities around the theme of ‘Easter’ that your child may have-a-go at if it suits. Here is a link Suggestions for Senior Infants.

Ms Condron/Ms Hanlon have activities for all EAL children from Senior Infants available here.

The most important task I want you to do is to play and have lots of fun with everyone in your family. I am looking forward to hearing all the stories about what you are getting up to. Stay safe.

Happy Easter,

Miss Reynolds.
